The GERMAN PAVILION is sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in co-operation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and supported by the German Cosmetic, Toiletry, Perfumery and Detergent Association (IKW) and the Association of the German Cutlery and Houseware Industry (IVSH). Since the first event in 1996 German exhibitors are successfully participating in this international beauty show under the brand made in Germany. Again in 2018 the GERMAN PAVILION and its about 36 exhibitors are one of the highlights of Beautyworld Middle East.
Germany - The Quality Country is presenting products designed at the leading edge of high technology, innovation, design, product safety and environmental consciousness. This "Five-Concepts-Strategy" does build the platform for cosmetic, toiletry & perfumery brands made in Germany. Consequently and based on a long tradition, they are among the most valuable brands with a world-wide reputation for its commitment to excellence.
Already more than 2,000 years ago the Latin abbreviation SPA "Sanus Per Aquam" (healthy through water) was used for bath, wellness & health concepts when Roman soldiers crossed the Alps and came to Central Europe. For the recreation of the soldiers they did invent hot thermal spring water SPAs in the former Germania, among others and world famous until today in Baden-Baden or Wiesbaden (Germany). Lost in the Middle Age, the health and wellness concept was reinvented in the 19th century by the German parish priest Sebastian Kneipp.
Like "Eau de Cologne" created in Cologne (Germany) more than 200 years ago, well-known herbal extracts recipes or highly appreciated category brands of our industry were designed in Germany. The combination of history, innovation, high technology, consumer focus and environmental consciousness has lead to the pole position of the beauty & body care products made in Germany at global scale.
As a consequence of its high quality and safety concept, products made in Germany are increasingly appreciated by the consumers in Middle East, the G.C.C. countries, Iran, Africa, the Indian sub-continent and the C.I.S. German exports of beauty and body care products to these big global growth markets and especially to the G.C.C. countries are a permanent story of success.
